Job description: A boutique family office based in Southwest London is looking to appoint an Accountant into a newly created position.
The accountant will be responsible for servicing and controlling a portfolio of venture capital funds that are Jersey-based. The funds have an eclectic mix of investors, and there is a wide range of bespoke investor reporting required.
This role is ideal for either an experienced accountant living locally, seeking something more relaxed, who wants to pick up fund accounting, or a fund accountant prioritising work-life balance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing year-end financial statements for all Jersey investment funds and SPVs.
- Overseeing the Jersey-based administrators on administrative matters such as shareholders’ consents, board resolutions, board meetings, etc.
- Supervising cash positions in investment vehicles and managing and monitoring cash flow.
- Setting valuations on a quarterly basis in line with the valuation framework and IPEV.
- Assisting in quarterly reporting on portfolio and investments to shareholders and investors.
- Conducting portfolio analysis on an ad-hoc basis.
Compensation is likely to be between £60,000-£75,000 with a discretionary bonus.
