The University’s Human Resources Department has an exciting opportunity for an analytical, self-motivated individual looking for a varied HR Data Analyst role.

The primary focus of this role will be the production and analysis of HR data to support the delivery of our vision for the University’s future. You will directly contribute to the success of the University by providing data to meet statutory obligations including Gender Pay Gap reporting and Freedom of Information requests, and by supporting our work towards charter marks such as Race Equality and Athena SWAN. You will also enable colleagues across all areas of HR to make data-driven decisions in their work.

You will be an experienced Data Analyst, able to extract, manipulate and interpret a variety of large, disparate datasets to provide insights, draw conclusions and make recommendations. Working both independently and as part of a team, you must be able to demonstrate the ability to prioritise and manage your own workload whilst demonstrating flexibility to help other team members. Additionally, you will undertake operational work activity including system maintenance and dealing with ad-hoc requests for HR data. This is a challenging role with lots of autonomy that will require a proactive approach from the get-go.

This position is offered on a fixed term contract until 31 January 2025. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part-time and the number of preferred hours. Job share arrangements may be considered.

Requests for secondment from internal candidates will be considered on the basis that prior agreement has been sought from both your current line manager and the manager of your substantive post, if you are already undertaking a secondment role.

In return, you’ll receive generous holiday entitlement of up to 43 days per annum including Bank Holidays and University closure days (pro-rata) and a benefits package including contributory pension scheme and a range of voluntary benefits including an Employee Assistance Programme.
