We are currently seeking an experienced Data Visualisation Analyst, on a full-time, permanent basis to play a pivotal role in addressing business challenges by leveraging your expertise in Power BI and other Data Visualisation platforms to empower our organization to make informed decisions, drive efficiency, and achieve strategic goals in an ever-evolving business landscape.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as a point of contact for the delivery and development of analytics dashboards. Including consultation, design, creation and maintenance of dashboards which support all Usecases and internally generated Change projects.
  • Produce business focussed analytics utilising advanced analytical techniques that support the aims and direction of the force.
  • Define and maintain the architectural standards, frameworks and processes required to build and operate an effective and efficient cloud based BI service.
  • Specify data requirements, carry out user acceptance testing, build and create data models and ‘certified data sets’ within cloud-based infrastructure.

The must haves

  • Degree in relevant numerate subject or proven work experience as a BI developer, demonstrable via graduate qualification, Microsoft certification (DA-100), or equivalent
  • Knowledge and experience of data modelling concepts, structures and application. Experience with star schemas and an appreciation of best practice for the efficient performance of data models, DAX calculations and reports with awareness of tools that aid this (e.g. DAX Studio, Vertipaq Analyser)
  • Proven experience of the application and uses of Statistical and Analytical Methodologies to support data driven insights. (e.g., Significance testing, probability, multivariate & univariate analysis)
  • Ability to problem-solve, self-manage, meet deadlines and take responsibility for continuous professional development.

Salary £35,982 – £43,098

For part time hours the salary will be calculated on a pro-rata basis, this is based on the number of hours for the vacancy.
