Brief job description:

Estio Training have an exciting new opportunity for a Data Analyst Apprentice with LampShopOnline, a retail company based in Leeds.

Job Description:

Working under the guidance of the Head of Ecommerce, you will be instrumental in implementing and leveraging data analysis to enhance business decisions and strategies. You will be tasked with organising and integrating data from various systems such as Magento 2, Microsoft Nav, Linnworks, etc., and employing tools like Power BI (or similar) to provide actionable insights.

Your duties and responsibilities in this role will consist of:

  • Collaborate with the ecommerce team, digital marketing team, and customer experience team to identify and prioritise data analysis needs.
  • Plan and implement data integration strategies from multiple systems to ensure seamless data availability for strategic use.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports in Power BI or similar tools to track key performance indicators and provide insights.
  • Work closely with the Head of Ecommerce, Ecommerce Manager, and Marketing Manager to analyse trends, patterns, and anomalies, driving optimisation and improvement across all departments.
  • Assist in developing data-driven strategies to enhance customer engagement, optimise marketing efforts, and improve overall business operations.

Qualifications:

5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)

Skills Required:

  • Strong academic background with a keen interest in applying data analysis in a real-world ecommerce setting.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of ecommerce platforms (e.g., Magento 2) and business systems (e.g., Microsoft Nav, Linnworks) is a plus.

Personal qualities:

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Future prospects:

The role offers a permanent role upon completion of the apprenticeship depending on performance.

Training to be provided:

  • Ascertain how data can be used to answer questions and solve problems.
  • Gather, inspect, cleanse, transform and model data to identify patterns and trends.
  • Present data and produce dashboards and reports to aid visualization and comparison.
  • Use advanced theory and diverse techniques to harness greater understanding.
  • Inform decision-making and make recommendations using an evidence-based approach.
  • Ensure your business processes and procedures are compliant with data protection legislation.
