Job Description
St Catharine’s College in the heart of Cambridge welcomes applications for the full-time post of Postgraduate Administrator, based in our Tutorial office.
The Postgraduate Administrator is responsible for providing the administrative support required for the academic activities of postgraduate students and for liaising with the Postgraduate Tutors and other teams involved in the support of our students such as Health & Wellbeing, Finance and Accommodation.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be able to demonstrate they can work collaboratively with internal and external parties to both support a broad range of tutorial and postgraduate student related matters.
- Have excellent administrative skills – this role requires ensuring administrative resources and services work efficiently to support both students and academic staff.
- Have demonstrable experience and/or the aptitude to use databases and manage administrative, financial and legal compliance processes to ensure efficiency.
- Be flexible to adapt to the needs of the College and be a strong team player.
The role holder will be responsible for:
- ensuring the smooth running of the administrative service that supports all aspects of the admissions and arrival process ensuring that students are provided with helpful information and an efficient, welcoming service.
- supporting postgraduate students and ensure they receive outstanding service throughout their time at St Catharine’s providing accurate administrative and financial information to students, academics and the wider collegiate university community, and ensuring effective lines of communication between the students and other teams.
- This is a vital role at the heart of our service to our postgraduate students requiring an ability to create effective working relationships across college teams and to deliver a high-quality administrative service.
