The Financial Management Business Partnering Team have an exciting opportunity for someone to step into an Assistant Finance Manager role supporting the Registrar’s Office. 

The Financial Management Team provide Finance Business Partnering services to the University of Nottingham. You will partner with colleagues and act as a trusted advisor to help develop and strengthen the financial management and planning.

You will report to the Finance Manager and will provide them and your stakeholders with day-to-day support. You will have experience of, or the ability to:

  • Build relationships and influence stakeholders across an organisation
  • Prepare detailed budgets and forecasts
  • Compile monthly management accounts
  • Analyse and explain variances to budget / forecast
  • Support in the creation of business cases and provide appropriate challenge
  • Assist in providing development opportunities for junior members of staff

As a trusted advisor and partner, you will be driven to question the status quo and explore new ideas to embed a culture of continuous improvement. You will have the ability to offer and accept feedback in a constructive manner and undertake your work with integrity.

The position is offered on a permanent basis. Hours are full time (36.25 hours per week). Job share arrangements may be considered.
