Salary: £32,000 – £38,000 approx
We are a small electronic engineering company who design and manufacture electronic instruments for specialist measurements in the R & D and test environment; industries including automotive, nuclear, marine & aerospace. Our customers are spread across the world from Europe, Asia, and the America’s.
Our engineers require a strong understanding of analogue amplifiers for low-noise precision measurements.
We pride ourselves in providing a wide range of instrumentation products optimised for performance and suited to its purpose.
We are looking for an analogue electronic design engineer with a minimum of 2-3 years industry experience to fit in to our compact multi-disciplinary team designing new products, supporting existing equipment and clients, working from our city centre premises.
Core skills for the ideal candidate being:
- Understanding of amplifiers, filters, sources of electronic noise and it’s reduction.
- Programming experience in LabView and C/C++ (Preferred IDE Keil Microvision).
- Understanding of embedded system design using microcontrollers in a mixed signal system.
- The ability to interpret customer enquiries and create solutions.
- Understanding the design cycle from specification through to production, including design reviews, design and automation of test equipment for design and production validation.
- Fault finding at component level.
- Knowledge of design requirements to meet industry standards for ISO9001:2015, EMC compatibility and Electrical Safety.
- Knowledge of at least one CAD system for electronic design. (We use Fusion 360/Eagle PCB.)
- Ability to produce customer documentation for product support.
