Role Purpose
The successful candidate will be a key member of the Menzies group’s finance team responsible reporting statutory information and reporting to executives and the board. The role is ideally suited for a first move out of practice or for an accountant with industry experience looking to experience a dynamic commercial environment with opportunities to develop their careers.
The successful candidate will liaise with senior and executive management and take ownership for preparation of financial data presented to the Board. They will play a highly visible role in the success of the group’s audit process, liaising with senior members of the external audit team.
This is a 12-month fixed term contract
What you will be doing
- Analytical review of actual, forecast and budget balance sheets and cash flows from over 200 reporting entities around the world.
- Consolidating the group’s balance sheet and cash flow and preparation of related analyses on a monthly basis.
- Active participation in the preparation, review, and analysis of quarterly and annual statutory information for the Menzies group, with a key focus on judgemental accounting areas.
- Preparation of technical accounting papers for senior finance management and external auditor review.
- Leading preparation and submission of statutory accounts for subsidiaries in the UK.

What we are looking for
- A qualified chartered/certified accountant
- High level of drive and initiative with the ability to problem solve and think analytically.
- Ability to communicate confidently and ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Good organisational skills including the ability to effectively identify deadlines and prioritise work.
- Excellent working knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software and ideally experience of accounting and reporting systems.
