Contract type: This position is a fixed term contract for 7 months, starting in June 2024
Salary: The range is £24,500 – £36,800 p/a
Accommodation: Single live-in accommodation is available on-site at a cost of up to £140 salary deduction per month, which acts as a contribution towards living costs. This price remains unmatched in the surrounding area by some margin and covers accommodation in your own private quarters, all general bills & meals.
About the role:
The right candidate for this role will enjoy working in a busy, vibrant hospitality arena with a solid focus on the guest experience. You’ll demonstrate a real passion for food and service in addition to a sound knowledge of both food safety and health & safety.
This role involves leading the front of house bar & restaurant team team and working closely with the kitchen brigade – upskilling and developing Partners in all aspects of the F&B offer. A proactive approach to all aspects of performance management in accordance with Partnership policies and behaviours will be needed, along with the ability to engage employees to drive the business forward.
This role is part of the senior hotel management team, contributing to the leadership and success of the site as a whole and includes duty manager responsibilities.
What you’ll be doing?
You’ll be a brand ambassador who provides a consistently outstanding customer experience:
Planning, prioritisation, set up and delivery of the food service operation in all areas of the hotel, to include functions
Maintaining and exceeding levels of customer service
Build positive relationships with the kitchen team to ensure service and sales are maximised
Taking overall responsibility of the management of the FOH team inlcuding Partner Development, mandatory training and apprentice management.

People management experience
Food and Beverage service experience
Comprehensive organisational skills
Customer mindset
Skilled influencer/ motivator/ coach
Proven leadership skills
Understanding of profit & loss accounts
PC literate and able to grasp numerous systems: finance, hotel booking, personnel etc.
Experience in customer service delivery
Ability to interpret and enforce food safety Policy and health and safety regulations.
Food Safety Level 3
Understanding of HACCP

Boats: We have our own private boat service from Sandbanks Pier to get Partners to and from work, these boats run approximately once an hour between 7am – 11pm. Castello Boat berths at the jetty to the right of the Chain Ferry.
Car parking: If you wish to park at Sandbanks (BH13 7QJ). This is on-road parking only, payable via the ‘Just Park’ app or at the meter on the roadside, prices vary. As staff on the island we have access to purchase an annual permit at a reduced price. Parking is free from November to March.
Buses: Buses stop at 7pm from Sandbanks and all staff are required to cover late night shifts beyond the bus times.
