Job description: This is a unique role, for the first 12-18 months will be focused on the set-up and validation of the new site. The perfect candidate will have an obsession with knowing how food products are made, both in terms of the formulation science as well as the manufacturing process. This role will utilise this expertise to ensure all products transferred to the site launch with excellence, and later work on landing innovation and continuous improvement projects.
- The development and enhancement of innovative food processing technologies.
- Working with the technical team in the implementation of new systems and technologies.
- The commissioning and product validation of technology transfer into a new manufacturing facility.
- Ensuring all production processes comply with food safety and quality standards.
- Involvement in the product data collection for knowledge transfer; measuring process parameters and product attributes against a statistical measurement plan to build a benchmark of the current products and process.
- Communicating with cross-functional teams to drive product quality and efficiency.
- Delivering training on new processes and technologies to the wider team.
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest food technology trends and industry advancements.
- Contributing to the company’s sustainability goals through the development of eco-friendly manufacturing processes.

A successful Senior Process Food Technologist should have:
- A Degree in Food Technology, Engineering or a related field.
- Previously worked in a similar role within the FMCG industry, ideally with product knowledge of bakery, desserts, dairy, confectionery or ice cream.
- Strong data skills with excellent attention to detail.
- An innovative mindset with a passion for food technology.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with various teams.
- An interest in sustainability and eco-friendly manufacturing processes.
