Our client is looking for either experienced assistant project managers looking to progress their career with a market leading business or maybe for a senior surveyor who is looking to use the experience gained over their career to move away from site and into more or an office based role. You will join their team working in the areas between London and Birmingham. You will be part of a large team and report into a Operations Lead whilst being responsible for your own section of works and projects.

The Role

  • You’ll be responsible for ensuring project deliverables are actioned to time and to budget whilst maintaining high standards of Health and Safety.
  • You’ll be responsible for preparing Health and Safety documentation including method statements, risk assessments and task briefings for the project. You will carry out site inspections and audits with other members of the team and ensure safe delivery of the project.
  • You will understand client/project needs and work with our surveyors and engineers to develop and deliver instrumentation and monitoring solutions. You will also attend meetings, undertake technical reviews and produce reports to contribute towards high-quality outputs.
  • You will monitor project costs and proactively input in to the commercial aspects of the project, including the preparation of monthly forecasts, programmes and dashboards.

The candidate

  • You will be able to display previous industry experience in either surveying or monitoring projects.
  • You will hold a relevant qualification in a construction related field – survey, civil engineering or construction management
  • Must hold a CSCS card to the required level (white, gold, black).
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Good IT skills and confident with Excel, Word etc
