Job Title: Site Agent – Construction Projects
Reporting to: Project Manager
About Us: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Site Agent to join our team, reporting to the Project Manager and contributing to minor projects within the ISA’s Logistics and Utilities portfolio. As a crucial member of our construction team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful delivery of projects within the highly regulated environment of the Sellafield nuclear licensed site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the construction of various civil engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring strict adherence to schedules and budgets.
- Coordinate and lead subcontractors and on-site teams, fostering a collaborative work environment.
- Maintain strict compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards throughout all project phases.
- Prepare comprehensive reports and updates for clients, keeping them informed of project progress and milestones.
- Support the Project Manager in developing, implementing, and delivering robust contract processes and procedures for effective project delivery.
- Ensure site teams meet contract specifications, including all health and safety requirements.
- Lead and support employees and collaborators in achieving our 100% Safe goal and fully embracing our Perfect Delivery philosophy.
- Implement processes and procedures to achieve perfect delivery for the customer.
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the work carried out by teams to specified target outputs.
- Ensure all teams have appropriate plant and materials.
- Take ownership of projects from start to finish, signing off on completion.
- Monitor and produce progress reports to measure performance of the delivery activity and ensure corrective actions are made as necessary.
Succession Planning/Mobility:
- Identify and assist in coordinating resources to ensure effective delivery.
- Perform regular reviews with teams to ensure performance is optimized.
- Identify any problem areas associated with delivery or welfare and take action to resolve them.
Requirements:
- Engineering background with an appreciation of other major disciplines.
- Degree or advanced vocational qualification with appropriate practical experience.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment, preferably within the nuclear industry.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven track record of successful project management.
