About The Role
The Strategic Communications practice of FTI Consulting is one of the world’s most highly regarded consultancies. We offer a broad base of disciplines across a variety of specialist sectors including financial services, retail and consumer, digital, natural resources, energy, public affairs, real estate, professional services, technology media telecoms (TMT) and life sciences.
The TMT team are looking for an enthusiastic and outgoing self-starter who wants to join our market leading communications team which provides strategic and financial communications to companies operating in the built environment as well as their developments. Our clients include listed and non-listed businesses and fund managers operating in the office, retail, industrial, residential, hotels and student accommodation sectors. These range from global leaders and FTSE100s through to start-ups and we advise on some of the UK’s most high-profile development projects.
What You’ll Do
- Scheduling of appointments and maintenance of busy calendars with ability to make self-directed decisions regarding scheduling.
- Coordination of meetings and events, assistance with setting agendas and taking minutes of meetings to capture actions
- Preparation of presentation materials.
- Complete research tasks and client reporting for the team, as required
- Maintain internal databases such as Salesforce, Chrome River and Carpe Diem
- Schedule and coordinate internal meetings and manage diaries of team members,
- Arrange and manage travel itineraries and logistics for the team, as required
- Assist with internal and external hospitality events including managing invites and attendance lists along with arranging venues and catering
- Collaborate with the other Team Assistants across FTI and the wider corporate support teams, including HR, Facilities, Finance and IT, to ensure smooth running of the team
- Filing and printing documents and collating information packs for the team as required
- Ad-hoc projects as and when required
- Act as main point of contact for all internal and external invoicing and accounting issues for the team, liaising directly with FTI’s accounts team
- Out of hours support to the team will be required on occasion
- Assist with client results including organising and scheduling external conference call lines and uploading statements to RNS
- Managing expenses and ensuring prompt payment of invoices.

What You Will Need to Succeed
Basic Qualifications / Qualifications & Experience
- High level of IT literacy (PowerPoint, Excel)
- Proficiency in using Salesforce
- Previous experience of organising events
- Proven ability to work and make sound judgments on a day-to-day basis regarding assigned and ad hoc duties with very limited direction from the Executive.
- Ability to discern and communicate with the highest level of tact and diplomacy, both verbally and in writing to key stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
- Ability to follow complex written and verbal instruction.
- Strong interpersonal skills to persuade and build consensus and cooperation.
- Ability to work under time pressure and be available as needed by the Executive.
- Top level detail, organisational, and logical skills.
- Ability to handle the highest level of confidential issues sensitively.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Work, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Substantial experience of executive level support.
- Experience of working with a professional services environment advantageous.
- Experience with client interface and understanding of client relationship.
