About the Role
Our Dukes Golf Course plays host to an outstanding 5* Championship Golf Course, situated on the edge of St Andrews. The club has an excellent reputation with a range of facilities on offer to its members and guests. We have a fantastic opportunity within our Dukes Club House for a Food and Beverage Assistant. You will be an integral member of the Dukes food and beverage operation including our halfway house by delivering friendly, efficient and courteous service.
Duties and Responsibilities
Service
– Exceed guests and members expectations through excellent and engaging service.
– Anticipate guest needs.
– Increase sales by upselling products and offers within Dukes.
– Engage with members, golfers, locals, guests, and co-workers providing everyone with the same exceptional service.
– Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Preparation
– Follow good hygiene habits and report to work in correct and clean uniform.
– Gain knowledge of all styles and sequences of service, become familiar with food and beverage areas for open and close.
– Work closely with the supervisors and managers gaining as much experience through training and development.
– Familiarise yourself with composition of all dishes on the menu and be able to advise guests on a selection of food and beverage.
House Keeping
– Always be efficient and courteous towards all guests and associates.
– Be conversant with the hotel’s health and safety procedures, maintenance, systems, and policies.
– Flexible to assist in other areas if required.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic, well presented, friendly and confident individual who has excellent interpersonal and organisational skills with a flexible approach. You will enjoy working as part of a team but can also work independently. Ideally, you will behave previous service experience within hospitality or similar setting though not essential.
Salary
This is a seasonal opportunity during our high season, until September. A flexible shift pattern is offered with a competitive hourly rate up to £11.77, depending on experience and a range of associate benefits. This role includes weekend working, early mornings, and evenings.
