Job description: Summary

The Intern London Sales MO Analyst assists the team in the execution of control and support functions for GMD sales. The team’s main responsibility is to ensure the timeliness of trade capture, amendment, cancellation, validation, deal flow and life cycle events in FO systems.

Team Key Responsibilities

· Monitoring, investigation and referral of FX sales account positions/P&L

· Trade amendment/cancellation/split/conversion/validation

· Reconcile trader rate, deals against Murex and electronic platforms

· Monitor deal flow

· Monitoring, referral and allocation of FX UNKNOWN/BLOCK/TBAPAR trades

· Investigate and resolve errors in trade details, post trade queries (internal and external), breaks, settlement differences

· Ensure ISIS controls are completed on a daily basis

· Process and follow-up of CTM confirmations

· Book primary dummy trades for new issues from the Syndicate desk and amend with correct mark-up when published

· Follow-up Calypso integration, new counterparty KYC, AM funds creation in FO/BO systems

· Reporting

· Ensure controls and procedures are developed to support the business and reduce operational risk

· Propose and formalise any improvements on controls and procedures

· Develop efficiency initiatives

· Ensure compliance with CA CIB CMO CA CIB London governance and organisation directives

· Participate in projects such as new markets/product development, improving deal workflow, new regulations and market rules

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

· Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the London Compliance manual and the Financial Crime Policy.

· Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role. Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Candidate criteria

Minimal education level

High school / Secondary school / A levels / AS levels / IB

Academic qualification / Speciality

Essential:

Educated to an A level standard or equivalent.

Desirable:

Educated to degree level standard or equivalent.

Experience

Essential:

Understanding of finance

Desirable:

Middle Office / Back Office experience in FX, Derivatives and Credit products.

Required skills

Essential:

Fluent English. Rigorous and organised, autonomy, ability to work across disciplines, good communication both verbally and written, proactive, reliable, high technical and analytical ability, sensitivity to operational risk, ability to work under pressure, integrity.

Desirable:

French useful

Technical skills required

Essential:

Proficient in Excel, good knowledge of capital markets processes.

Desirable:

Good knowledge of FX and CRD IT systems, VBA, Macros
