Job Description:

Our client is seeking a Senior Network Engineer with a strong background in IT installations and fault-finding for both desktop and server systems. The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 2 years of working experience in a similar role and will be based at their Head Office in Tamworth. This is a full-time position, and candidates should be prepared for occasional paid work during evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and manage customer networks to ensure their smooth operation.
  • Proactively monitor the customer base to identify and resolve problems before they impact users.
  • Provide support to end users, both at the head office and customer sites.
  • Design, install, and maintain VoIP, server, network, and storage environments at the head office and remotely.
  • Configure new users and devices.
  • Develop innovative strategies to enhance the experience and productivity of their services.
  • Support and mentor the engineering team, managing escalated faults and attending sites when necessary.
  • Assume a leadership role in the absence of a manager and make informed decisions as required.
  • Contribute to defining best-in-class security practices and policies for the network through alignment with internal groups.
  • Ensure security compliance across the entire customer base and internal infrastructure through continuous auditing and remediation.
