Academic Teacher / MPhil Training Post in Veterinary Science

Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a veterinary surgeon who has an interest in veterinary education and would like to undertake an MPhil on that subject. We are seeking a teaching-focussed individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills to join a team of experienced subject specialists who teach preclinical sciences to the first two years of the five-year clinical veterinary undergraduate programme.

The primary focus of the post will be the face-to face teaching of veterinary students. Training and support will be provided enabling completion of a HE teaching qualification and MPhil.

The post is primarily based at our Liverpool campus and is available for three years from September 2025.

Applicants should be MRCVS or eligible without sitting the membership examination, have experience of working in a veterinary practice and have a specific interest in delivering and researching University-level learning activities.

This is a fixed term post for 3 years, available from 1 September 2025.
