Job description: Accounting and Tax Investigations Manager – Membership Body – Milton Keynes (3 day per week remote working) – Circa £77,000-£80,000 salary

Robert Walters are hiring for an Accounting and Tax Investigations Manager for a leading membership body for accountants.

This is a permanent, full-time role based in their Milton Keynes office, but supporting 3 days per week working from home / remote working.

The position comes with a salary of circa £77k-£80k plus a great benefits package.

The Accounting and Tax Investigations Manager is tasked with conducting investigations into accounting and tax work carried out by this organisation’s members, resulting out of disputes or complaints – This can include investigating different types of general accounting all types of tax work, e.g. corporation tax, indirect tax, personal tax etc

The Manager will speak to both parties, collect information and documentation, and conduct an investigation into the issue, which could either be technical or ethical in nature.

Once the investigation is complete the Manager will write a report on the case along with a recommendation of any further action.

This is a fairly unique role for an tax or accounting professional and therefore would suit someone working in an accountancy firm who wants a new, interesting, varied role.

The company are looking for a qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / ICAS / CTA etc) with experience working in practice at a managerial level or above -This could be someone with a background in either general accounting work, or someone who has focused on some type of tax work (i.e. business tax, personal tax)
