The successful candidate will have oversight and people management responsibilities for graduates based in London, who work directly on providing support for these entities.This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to join the 30+ EMEA FAR team, developing expertise and experience across various jurisdictions and working with the financial controllership organisation to ensure the accurate and timely internal and external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with all local statutory requirements.Responsibilities

  • Manage and lead a team direct reports, providing supervision, coaching and support.
  • Oversee and manage the completion of Annual Financial Statements, including statutory audits where required.
  • Timely and accurate delivery of monthly management accounts under US GAAP;
  • Detailed balance sheet reviews; including monthly presentation to the CAO.
  • Work with tax advisors to ensure compliance in corporate tax including filing of tax returns;
  • Review Indirect Tax reporting calculations and filings, liaising with third parties where required.
  • Work with senior members of the finance team to ensure compliance in key areas such as transfer pricing, Sarbanes Oxley legislation, Company Secretarial etc., including liaising with external advisors;
  • Assist with support for the operation of the Accounts Payable function;
  • Ensure legal entities under your oversight remain compliant with all transfer pricing requirements;
  • Completion of US Tax packages including liaising with US Tax team and external advisors to ensure complex areas are dealt with appropriately;
  • Understand and adhere to financial regulations and legislations
  • Ensuring effective internal controls and processes operate in the company (and are compliant with Sarbanes Oxley legislation);
  • Stay up to date with technological advances and accounting software to be used for financial purposes.
  • Drive the continuous improvement of end-to-end accounting practices.
  • Manage day-to-day financial queries from colleagues, and other stakeholders, ensuring an efficient and timely response.
  • Any other duties as may be reasonably required to support the efficient and effective running of the department.

Your profile

  • 2 years experience post ACA/ACCA or equivalent of Qualified Accountant;
  • Experience with management accounts under US GAAP or IFRS;
  • Experience with financial reporting requirements;
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines;
  • Strong and good communication abilities, both verbal and written;
  • Ensures the consistent delivery of high levels of productivity, efficiency and quality;
  • Maintain and build strong relationships with finance personnel and key stakeholders;
  • A willingness to embrace new ideas and processes;
  • A keen eye for process improvement.
