Job description: This position requires the right to work in UKAccounting Lecturer – Chengdu, , ChinaThe successful candidate will be required to teach in China, in person from Mar 2024Job schedule: 3 months teaching in China, 3 months spent back in UK working from home with minimal workload, another 3 months in China followed by 3 months in UK, and so on.The salary is received in 12 months increments (paid all year round).Job Purpose:To provide the highest quality educational experience in Accounting programmes. Using vocational knowledge and experience to deliver teaching, learning and assessment. To contribute to the development of the curriculum in line with local, regional and national needs and contribute to the positioning of these courses as the premier local choice for accounting students in China.UK employment contract
- 2 x 13 week semester ( Mar ’24- Jun ’24 in China /3 months off / Sep ’24 – Dec ’24 /3 months off)
- Up to 2 weeks marking and assessing in UK (from home)
- Up to 20 hours per week contact time
- Time in between semesters to do as you wish – Part-time job, traveling etc.
- salary will be paid across 12 months providing a steady income whilst demanding commitment for only 29 weeks a year.
Package:

- £22,500 – £29,900 gross base salary depending on experience + £320 gross weekly allowance for each week spent in China =£29,500 – £37,500 per annum

- AAT qualification
- Degree and or masters in accounting or related fields of study
- Record of 3 years work experience in the industry- advantageous but not necessary
- Excellent English Language Skills
- Certificate in Education, PGCE or equivalent
- 3 years teaching experience – advantageous but not necessary (training can be provided)
- Must have right to work in UK
