Job description: The Accounts Assistant will be integral to the success of the Accounting & Finance Department, with a focus on maintaining financial records, running calculations to ensure that records and payments are correct, and assisting with budget preparations. This role is based in Tamworth.

The Accounts Assistant will;

  • Supporting the finance department, accountants, and management team by completing routine clerical and accounting tasks.
  • Preparing budgets, maintaining reports, and completing basic bookkeeping and accounting duties for the company.
  • Completing and maintaining purchase orders.
  • Making deposits and recording all cash receipts.
  • Distributing monthly departmental financials and management reports.
  • Helping with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies.
  • Assisting with other accounting projects in the office as needed.

Immediate start|Tamworth

A successful Accounts Assistant should have:

  • A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of data management and financial data analysis.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, databases, and accounting software.
  • Understanding of bookkeeping procedures, time management, and attention to detail.
