Job Description – Agriculture Accountant

• Provide financial advice and support to farmers and rural businesses.
• Prepare financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Manage and maintain client relationships.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver high-quality service.
• To manage the commercial aspects of all engagements, ensuring fee quotes are prepared and agreed, work is scheduled appropriately, time costs are properly managed, and invoices are raised on a timely basis.
• Conduct business development activities to attract new clients.
• Attend industry events to network and promote the company’s services.

Leading independent Accountancy Practice | Newbury, Oxford or Reading offices

A successful Agriculture Accountant should have:

• A professional accounting qualification – ACA or ACCA
• Managerial experience or wanting the step up to Manager
• Excellent knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
• Proven experience in managing client relationships and a portfolio of work.
• Previous experience of farming / agricultural / rural businesses desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
