Location: Bangkok, Thailand

This exciting position provides a rare opportunity for a Clinical Researcher with strong organisational skills and leadership capability to join an established, multi-disciplinary team as part of the Mahidol Oxford Research Unit (MORU).

 

The MORU Tropical Health Network, which hosts the ‘Thailand Wellcome Africa and Asia Programme’, conducts targeted clinical and public health research that aims to discover and develop appropriate, practical, affordable interventions that measurably improve the health of people living in resource-limited parts of the world.

 

You will be responsible for and coordinate the scientific research programme associated with the PLATCOV and ADASTRA trial, and other associated research activities. You will draft research protocols, SOPs, and other documents for the programme, as well as ensuring ethical, regulatory and other approvals are obtained in a timely manner. In addition, you will organize and chair routine meetings of the PLATCOV management group and report on the programme progress and challenges to the PLATCOV Trial Steering Committee. The post will be required to access clinical data and indirect patient contact, to support the scientific research programme.

 

To be successful in the role, you will be Research Physician (medically qualified and MRCP or equivalent), and you be a clinically qualified doctor and GMC registered with a licence to practice in the UK. You will be able to work independently and work to tight deadlines, and have strong analytical and problem solving skills. In addition, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and you will be able to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
