Job description: Provide comprehensive administrative, clerical and audio typing service to renal teams. This will include coordination of both clinical and non-clinical activities of the renal departmental areas as required. Work in a team based secretarial service providing support for each other and ensuring continuity of the service.To ensure we are compliant as an Apprenticeship employer and to enable us to enrol Apprentices with our Training Providers we need to be in receipt of all visa details to evidence compliance with the ESFA funding rules. If you are successfully shortlisted, you will be required to bring this evidence along with you to interviewMain duties of the jobo To undertake clerical and administrative dutieso Collecting, sorting and the opening of posto Print and process patient referrals received via the Electronic Referral System and register on database for the Consultant to triage.o Monitor Advice & Guidance requests received from GP surgeries via Electronic Referral System and process in a timely manner.o Audio type all clinical letters and other correspondence as required by the consultant and team, ensuring layout, spelling, grammar and punctuation is consistent.o Assess all enquiries and deal with effectively and respond appropriatelyo Provide support to other members of the administrative and clerical team and cross cover during periods of annual or sick leave as required.o Covering Renal Outpatient reception during periods of the receptionist’s absence.o The maintenance of department stationery, office supplies requirement and stationery storeroomo Make appointments as appropriate, in line with government and local targets and trust policy, procedure and guidance.
