Grade 5, £28,012 – £32,301 pro rata, per annum

We are excited to expand our existing Skills Programmes Automotive team to recruit an Assessor who has demonstrable occupational experience in Automotive disciplines such as Light Vehicle Maintenance.

If you are looking for a change in direction from your current Automotive role and wish to utilise your Automotive experience and knowledge to support apprentices, this is the ideal role for you.

What will this role entail?

  • You will travel to undertake assessment in the workplace of candidates undertaking SVQ qualifications and develop demand for services.
  • You will manage your portfolio of Automotive learners undertaking Modern Apprenticeships as well as commercial SVQs at varied stages on their qualification journey to aim for successful completion whilst ensuring contract compliance.
  • You will closely liaise and develop productive working relationships with candidates’ employers.

Who are you?

You will have:

  • a minimum SCQF Level 7 qualification in an Automotive discipline e.g., minimum HNC.
  • industry experience and demonstrable competence in an Automotive vocational area.
  • demonstrable experience of working towards the achievement of targets.
  • experience of working on own initiative and as part of a team.
  • excellent organisation, and planning skills.
  • clean driving licence, and the use of a car for business purposes
  • as per the Awarding Body requirements, have gained a recognised apprenticeship in an Automotive vocational area.

Desirable:

  • an accredited workplace assessment qualification.
  • Internal verifier award.
  • experience in the use of e-portfolio software.
  • understanding of current SVQ Automotive vocational frameworks.
  • proficient in the use of MS Office software & applications.
