Job Description Summary This role provides an exciting opportunity to support the development and delivery of conversion marketing activity for the Intermediaries business area supporting Homes and Transport to achieve agreed interlock targets across paid, earned and owned media channels. The role provides a unique opportunity to gain exposure to both the Mortgage Intermediaries team, and also the Retail channels. Working with marketing performance, internal stakeholders and external agencies to effectively implement conversion activity, this role provides a great chance for a motivated and experienced candidate to join a fast paced team and support a strategically important Business area.

As part of the Chief Customer Office, the Consumer Lending Engagement Squad leads the interface into the business and plays the co-ordinating role in setting and delivering against priorities based on customer and business insight.

The Intermediaries Team, within the Consumer Lending Engagement Squad, is looking for someone with a passion for getting things right for our customers, who understands what great communications look like and has a collaborative and can-do focus to ensure we deliver outstanding comms day in, day out. Our communications play a meaningful role in our customers’ everyday lives, helping them to make the right financial decisions as well as ensuring the Group meets its regulatory obligations.

About our team:

The Homes Intermediaries team is a centre of excellence for mortgages conversion journey marketing activity. Working across 6 brands (Halifax/Halifax Intermediaries/Birmingham Midshires/ Lloyds Bank / Scottish Widows Bank and Bank of Scotland) and across paid, earned and owned channels, this team is responsible for planning and delivering the marketing activity to generate demand and achieve the agreed interlock commitments.

This person will work very closely with key internal and external stakeholders, leveraging insight to deliver truly customer focused, highly optimised marketing activity that is consistent with the brand and delivers an efficient and effective ROI.

About the role:

Location and Ways of Working:

Our team works out of our Halifax, Chester and Bristol hubs therefore we’ll need you to be based a commutable distance from one of these areas. We work in a hybrid model, splitting our time between the office and working from home. We normally work to a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.

Key Accountabilities:

The management and delivery of the Intermediaries marketing calendar across both campaign activity i.e. e-mail, press, digital, .co.uk and also thought leadership content

Drive the delivery of the thought leadership content for Intermediary brands

Analysis of key MI on thought leadership, with recommendations on how the programme can be improved

Being the SME for thought leadership and helping embed best practice in Homes conversion team

Working with counterparts in OCE to ensure appropriate prioritisation of briefs in line with Mortgage strategic priorities

Supporting Marketing Manager, deputising at meetings where appropriate

Developing an understanding of owned MI and the levers to influence performance and, working with the Marketing Manager to implement actions to improve performance

Support Marketing Manager on other 121 activities – such as email acquisition, as needed

Support the development of best in class, compelling conversion communications that are grounded in customer insight and leverage previous learnings.

Deliver designated activity on time, within budget and with the appropriate risk and legal approvals.

Establish excellent, collaborative working relationships with areas that are a key dependency – conversion planning teams, PO&I, external agencies, in house studio, marketing performance and Innovation & Communications teams for new creative production.

Support the implementation of structured test plans, leveraging new conversion technology / capability as it comes on board, to consistently improve performance.

Support accurate and effective day to day budget management.

Skills and Experience we’re looking for:

Proven marketing communications development and delivery experience, preferably in a large scale complex conversion (direct response) area.

Experience of working with / managing agency partners

Able to work at pace and under pressure, making appropriate prioritisation calls.

Experience of working across a broad stakeholder group with solid relationship management skills.

Able to deal with ambiguity and manage through change.

Establish excellent, collaborative working relationships with key partners to support delivery of shared objectives – conversion planning teams, POC, CI, external agencies, in house studio, marketing performance and Brand/Communications teams for new creative production.
