Job Description
Our Technical Department delivers technical excellence for every performance, event and rehearsal. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Assistant Technical Manager to join us and support the Technical Manager in the running of the University’s Institute of Cultural and Creative Industries activity in particular in the Gulbenkian technical section providing high quality technical support and maintenance for all ICCI projects (including lighting, sound, stage management and film projection).
You will ensure the highest levels of service to visiting artists and other venue user groups, maintaining high levels of safety and security in all activities.
The post holder will report to the Technical Manager and be part of a team of technical staff.
As Assistant Technical Manager you will have:
- Relevant work experience in a similar technical role and excellent computing skills, ECDL or equivalent
- Experience of interpreting and delivering a professional technical rider before and during live performances
- Experience of lighting and sound operation and design and experience of running get ins/outs of internal and external companies
- Experience of managing a team and carrying out on the job training for team members
