Engineering Directors or Engineering Managers operate across all domains of the engineering organization. Day-to-day tasks will vary due to that flexibility, but the common thread is providing support and solutions to current and predicted future issues which engineers on their assigned product line, domain, or program will face.Preferred Qualifications:Lead multiple teams using current tools and following current practices,Guide, coach, motivate and lead team to understand and deliver on business and career objectives.Translate strategy to establish team objectives.Lead technical and non-technical stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and work through technical issues.Provide pro-active and clear communication to cross-functional leaders including developing mitigation plans and recommendations.Drive a culture of high performance and ensure performance concerns are identified and addressed in a timely manner.Actively contribute to managing and delivering on the current budget.Primary ResposibitliesExperience in leading and providing mentoring, coaching and guidance to engineering managers.Ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams and departments – identifying any hurdles to progress and improving internal and cross-functional communications and processes.Able to motivate, inspire and drive engineering teams to drive a culture of excellence and pride of ownership.Experience in working with Product Management to map product roadmaps to engineering schedules.Experience with summarizing and presenting key information, and proven ability to influence and drive decisions at the executive level.Proven ability to drive the engineering teams to be accountable for on-time delivery of quality features and products.Strong customer service mindset and great attention to detail.Broad understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practicesAbility to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly, and master diverse web technologies and techniques.Able to communicate effectively to a wide range of audiences.Strong understanding of the direction of technological innovation and ability to bring that expertise to the company.Owns the execution of long-term strategy and engineering direction.Problems faced are often complex and require extensive investigation and analysis.Requires ability to influence others to accept practices and approaches, and ability to communicate and influence executive leadership.
- PURPOSE Manages a department that includes multiple disciplines teams led by managers and/or supervisors in Engineering. Establishes the key priorities in workflow processes and oversees the execution of resource allocations to ensure optimization of strategy and implementation.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and 12 years prior relevant experience OR
- Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience
- ITAR Eligibility Required

The salary range for this role is 143,000 USD – 287,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
