The Team

Clyde & Co’s Employment team provides support to clients on all aspects of employment law including: litigation relating to discrimination, whistleblowing, unfair dismissal, unlawful deduction of wages and other claims in the employment tribunal and relating to breach of contract and business protection claims in the High Court; advising corporate clients on all day to day people related issues including preparing contracts and policies, disciplinary, grievance and capability issues, large scale restructuring projects and service provision changes involving TUPE; advising businesses and individuals on the employment aspects of corporate transactions; and cross border work involving sourcing and coordinating international advice from around the globe and cross border transactions.

Clyde & Co currently supports a variety of high-profile clients across varying sectors including insurance, financial services, professional services, projects and construction, transportation, aviation, marine, retail, education and energy.

The Role

Our Employment team are ideally looking for an experienced associate to join their team who can manage a caseload of both contentious and non-contentious matters relating to varying employment legislation and rights and obligations.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical abilities.
  • Ability to work autonomously with support from wider team when needed.
  • Ability to build strong client relationship and carry out business development activities, providing input into the team strategy and finances.
  • Ability to lead a team of more junior team members on projects.
  • Ability to mentor and support other team members.
