Job Posting Title Associate Manufacturing Engineer – Rotational
Job Description Summary AAM’s Early Career Rotational Program’s mission is to provide well-trained and prepared associates for key positions and leadership roles. AAM’s Early Career Rotational Program offers a unique opportunity for structured growth and training. As an Early Career Rotational associate, you will be introduced to our environment and be provided an opportunity to receive both classroom and on-the-job experience during an 18-month rotational training development program. You will participate in three 6-month rotational assignments designed to enhance your knowledge and performance in your target position. Meanwhile, you will participate in networking events with exposure to AAM leaders and mentors. Upon successful completion of the program, you will be well on your way to a meaningful, fulfilling career with AAM.
Job Description
Our Associate Manufacturing Engineer – Rotational position will join our team of motivated engineering professionals where projects are complex and original, requiring strategic direction, cross-disciplinary integration, and ingenuity of approach. Upon completion of the program, the successful candidate will work in a plant environment to implement manufacturing techniques, processes, tooling, and machinery to maximize operational throughput for AAM’s Metal Forming Business Unit.
This program starts June, 2024.
Required Skills and Education
We are currently in the selection phase for the 2024-2025 year and are looking for outstanding students and recent grads with the following qualifications:
- Completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering within 12 months prior to June, 2024 start date, GPA 3.0 or higher
- Experience in leadership roles (e.g. school teams, volunteerism, community)
- Ability to be geographically mobile during and after the program
- A passion to pursue a career in automotive /manufacturing
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
