Roles & Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership:
- Head the DevOps practice and assume accountability for defining and executing the overarching strategy.
- Drive the development of solutions and pre-sales activities, fostering the creation of cloud offerings, accelerators, and intellectual properties (IPs)
- Align go-to-market themes with sales and delivery leadership to ensure a cohesive and effective strategy.
- Drive and create new revenue streams to contribute towards the practice growth.
Capability Building:
- Establish and enhance cloud practice capabilities organization-wide through initiatives such as workshops, webinars, training programs, and certifications.
- Stay at the forefront of industry trends, ensuring the organization remains ahead of the curve in capabilities to support the delivery organization.
Advisory and Thought Leadership:
- Serve as a trusted advisor and thought leader for both clients and internal team members.
- Provide advisory services, architectural vision, and guidance to showcase expertise in cloud engineering, innovation, and problem-solving for enterprise clients.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with IT and business function executives across clients and organizations.
- Demonstrate a profound understanding of their needs and articulate complex architectural topics and strategies related to multi-cloud technologies.
- Identify automation opportunities and implement solutions to optimize efficiency and enhance productivity.
- Apply an engineering mindset to improve the maturity of engineering practices across the client organization. Define frameworks, best practices, and standards to elevate engineering capabilities and ensure consistent quality in project delivery.
- Foster a strong community within the Intelligent Engineering Practice by organizing and leading community-building events. Develop agendas encompassing case studies, training sessions, proof of concepts (PoCs), and other knowledge-sharing activities.
- Continuous Learning and Innovation: Stay updated with emerging trends, tools, and methodologies in the field of intelligent engineering. Proactively identify new opportunities for innovation and leverage cutting-edge technologies to drive value for the organization.
- Performance Measurement and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess the impact and effectiveness of Intelligent Engineering Practice initiatives. Regularly prepare reports and presentations to communicate progress, achievements, and return on investment (ROI) to senior management.
- Strategize and execute engineering transformation initiatives for Ness customers by leveraging DevOps/DevSecOps/AIOps capabilities
- Be able to conduct agile, DevOps maturity assessments, provide recommendations and implement the recommendations
- Provide thought leadership in areas of agile, DevOps through white papers, blogs
- Identify & implement appropriate technologies & tools to solve clients’ problems related to build, test, release, deploy and operate to improve overall engineering maturity for existing and new Ness customers
- Drive pilot engagements and setup high performing teams to deliver value for customers
- Engage clients in issue resolution/ decisions and drive alternatives with though leadership and automation experience
- Identify and implement tools/ services that can help the engineering team to produce better software/ services more efficiently and provide recommendations
- Provide technical and technology direction for problem definition, analysis, requirements development, and
- implementation of complex solutions by making automation related recommendations for existing and new customers.
- Generate innovation and continuous improvement ideas for various projects and engagements
- Work with delivery teams to identify and recommend improvement opportunities by leveraging process maturity model and assessment toolkit
- Advise on existing project/engagement improvements, optimization, or maintenance efforts in the following specialties: continuous integration, continuous build, test automation, monitoring, automation, risk management, software life-cycle management and development methodologies, selfheal solutions, AI/ML enabled automation, Chatbots implementation.
- Leads in the analysis of technical requirements of applications to ensure systems provide required availability, latency, scalability and efficiency.
- Provide guidance on cloud native devops implementation and best practice
