UX Team at H&B
You will be joining an existing team of designers, product managers, researchers, and stakeholders all working towards a common goal – to create the best experiences for our shoppers online and in store.
Putting the customer first, you will join the Customer Experience design team to further develop our digital experiences across the Holland & Barrett website, iOS and Android apps. Harnessing the full ‘design thinking’ process, you be involved in delivering innovative design solutions to customer problems, working collaboratively within the design team and with other stakeholders.
About the role
- Supporting the customer account squad across the website and native app.
- Reviewing existing journeys and creating frictionless experiences for our users.
- Improving customer retention, conversion and satisfaction.
- Being hands-on with user research, working with the UX Research team and Product Analytics. Conducting your own usability tests, and using both qualitative and quantitative data to inform your design decisions.
- Using the full UX design process to create visual designs, from low-fi wireframes, all the way to interactive, high-fidelity prototypes.
- Working with the Accessibility Taskforce to ensure Holland & Barrett is accessible for all users through best practice design.
- Working with product managers to record all functional requirements for our developers and owning the handover of your design work into development.
- Communicating your designs to other designers, stakeholders, product managers and developers.
- Help contribute towards a global design system.
Skills and experience
- A good understanding of user behaviour and UX/UI best practices.
- Experience designing for desktop, tablet and mobile devices, along with an understanding of responsive design techniques.
- Proficiency in Figma (or similar).
- Experience creating interactive prototypes.
- In depth understanding of usability testing methods and knowledge of how and where they should be applied.
- Experience with a variety of user research techniques.
- Ecommerce and/or retail experience.
- Good problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively communicate your ideas with others.
- A positive attitude towards receiving feedback and growing as a designer and an individual.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Enjoys working as part of a team and collaborating with others.
- Ability to multitask, prioritise and work within a timescale.
- An online portfolio or samples of work demonstrating your experience.
