Our client, a global financial services business based in London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Birmingham is recruiting for an Automation Anlayst to join on an initial 12 month fixed term contract was excellent scope for something longer term.
Skills/Experience:
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Up to date knowledge and understanding of Defined Benefit and Defined Contribution pension schemes and legislative framework for UK pension schemes
- Experience as an automation analyst or pensions administrator, ideally in a multi scheme environment
- A pragmatic problem solver and focussed on providing solutions and results
- Project management experience demonstrated in the ability to take ownership of project workstreams and effectively manage the delivery of your own project tasks from start to completion
- Driven by meeting deadlines and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable adhering to set procedures and identifying areas for improvement
- Proactive and able to build collaborative relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders and ability to share information, ideas and best practice
- Strong IT skills, including working with MS Word and Excel and experience of a pension administration system such as UPM, or system(s) with a similar purpose
- Effectively manages multiple tasks at once, prioritises and juggles conflicting demands to meet deadlines
Core Responsibilities:
- Working with the TPA systems service delivery team on process development, improvement and continuity, including individual member calculations and client calculations
- Resolving queries and identifying quick fixes
- Maintaining the integrity of calculations
- Working with our technical specialists on standard letters and outputs
- Working with the administration teams and wider practice nationally to analyse requirements and assist with its successful delivery
- Translating scheme rules and producing clear and concise benefit specifications for calculations
- Identifying suitable test cases for all relevant benefit scenarios
- Working with automation developers, testing results and outputs of automated calculations and raising any issues found
- Analysis of data requirements from internal and external providers
- Ensure compliance with the firm’s Data Protection Policy and adhere to the firm’s Information Security standards, policies, and procedures
