AWS Data Warehouse Architect, £650-£750 via Umbrella

Hampshire based client, hybrid working with 2 days per week required onsite

Initially until 31st December 2024 with long term potential beyond this date

Leading business is looking to bring a seasoned AWS Data Warehouse (DWH) Architect who is not only proficient in Kimball methodology but also passionate about driving transformative change through data. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of our company’s evolution.

The AWS DWH Architect will be responsible for development and automation of the AWS Data Warehouse and Analytics.

The role in a nutshell:

  • Data Warehouse Design and Development:
  • Design and implement data warehouses on AWS using the Kimball methodology.
  • Develop scalable and efficient ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from various sources into the data warehouse.
  • AWS Platform Expertise
  • Business-Facing Collaboration
  • Data Modeling and Optimisation
  • Documentation and Governance

Experience/Skills:

  • An experienced DWH Architect with proven experience in designing and implementing data warehouses using the Kimball methodology
  • In depth knowledge of AWS Big Data Storage Strategies and Technologies and knowledge of some of the following AWS services: Athena, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, S3, Neptune, SDLF, etc
  • Strong experience of data modelling (from conception to optimisation), and of the design and management of Enterprise Data Models on the AWS Platform, including the ability to design and lead development of automated processes.
  • Proficient in SQL, ETL processes
  • Business facing with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
