Job description: Band 7 Community Learning Disabilities Physiotherapist: Hunter AHP have an opportunity for an experienced Community LD physiotherapist to secure an ongoing locum contract, in a, community environment. The service provides community support for central London patients with Learning disabilities and potentially other complex health needs.
Community Physiotherapists work as part of a wider multi-disciplinary therapy team, you will be working with adults over the age of 18 with learning disabilities.
Key responsibilities of the Community LD Physiotherapy role as follows:
- To offer interventions that are person centred, respecting choice and values.
- To assess for, recommend, monitor and prescribe (where appropriate) aids, equipment, footwear, specialist seating/wheelchairs and postural control systems in order to ensure that people with additional physical disabilities are able to live as independently as possible and minimise the physical demands on carers.
