Job description: Bank Support Workers – Surrey Day, Residential and Community Services, Godalming

We are looking for support workers to work across our day, residential and supported living services in Surrey. You’ll be working with autistic adults and their families in a range of environments that support the service users’ needs.

Bank workers would primarily be based in Godalming, Surrey across our two day centres, residential and supported living services.

Our day services currently support around 60 individuals. They run from 9am-4:30pm and support autistic adults with a range of needs. The centres run sessions such as cookery, music and movement, gardening and arts and crafts as well as social skills and travel training. Outside the centre, the service supports its users by helping them access the community so they can participate in activities such as swimming, horse-riding, trips to the seaside and cycle rides. One of our day centres in particular focuses on helping the service user to take the next step, whether it be living independently, learning to drive or finding a job.

Our residential home currently supports 13 individuals. The centre is run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Support workers help the service users to complete their everyday routines, prepare meals, as well as help them learn essential home skills such as doing the washing and making the bed. The service users regularly participate in relaxing activities with others.

Our community services currently supports 4 individuals. Similar to our residential home, these individuals are supported in their everyday routines and live their lives as independently as possible in their own accommodation.
