Do you have experience working in a financial administrative environment, with excellent numeracy skills?

Are you confident in managing your own workload, adhering to strict deadlines? 

If the answer is yes, then the role of Billing Officer could be ideal.

In this role you will assist the Invoicing and Accounts Receivable Manager in ensuring that all students are invoiced correctly for tuition fees and all tuition fee income is reflected in the University accounting system.

You will also help support the University to receive payments for other goods and services, while verifying and posting receipts, resolving any discrepancies.

As a Billing Officer your duties will include:

  • Ensuring complete and accurate billing of student tuition fees, divisional receipts and commercial debtors through Kent Vision and Unit4 Business World.
  • Assist with the Student Loan Company funding reports and analysis of billing and payments relating to the Student Loan Company.
  • Raising invoices for all non-student income and assist the wider billing team to ensure billing processes are robust.
  • Provide support with the input and maintenance on to the WPM Online Store for short courses.
  • Responding to internal and external enquiries regarding tuition fees.

The successful candidate will have/be:

  • Educated to GCSE level, English and Maths in grade A-C, or equivalent
  • Experience working within Finance with excellent numeracy skills
  • Experience/skilled with Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc)
  • High attention to detail and effective communication skills
  • Ability to work proactively, managing own workload to meet tight deadlines
