BIM Automation Engineer – KTP Associate

Job Description

Through the Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) Programme, Park Hood (UK) Ltd in partnership with Queen’s University Belfast have an exciting employment opportunity for a motivated Architecture/Construction/Civil Engineering graduate to work on a project to integrate and embed advanced BIM processes, AI, GIS, and generative design tools into landscape architectural design processes.

This role is company-based and will be delivered in collaboration with the School of Natural and Built Environment at Queen’s.

The successful candidate will become part of a team within Park Hood (UK) Ltd to automate and embed advanced BIM processes into the company workflow, with the support of QUB academics. This approach will improve efficiency and create market differentiation, positioning Park Hood as leaders in digital landscape design.

Park Hood is a well-established landscape architectural consultancy, founded in 2000, with 39 staff across offices in Belfast, Dublin and London. They serve clients across the UK, Ireland, and internationally, delivering diverse projects including public realm, residential and mixed-use developments, private estates, healthcare facilities and urban townscape master planning.

About the person:

The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria:

  • Hold at least a 2.1 Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction or Civil Engineering. A 2.2 classification will be accepted where applicants hold a postgraduate degree in a relevant subject. If you are applying with an international degree, please make clear the equivalence of your degree (e.g., GPA) to a UK 2.1 or 2.2 classification.
  • Relevant experience and demonstrable knowledge of BIM, including experience using BIM standards including ISO19650*
  • Relevant experience of using BIM Platforms, including Autodesk Revit and Navisworks*
  • Relevant experience of using Autodesk Dynamo*
  • Knowledge of BIM automation including computational design and generative design*
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the Landscape Architecture sector.

*may be demonstrated through work experience, the completion of a module, student project or placement. Applicants must adequately evidence how they have gained relevant experience/knowledge/skills in detail, using examples and dates where appropriate to demonstrate that they meet these requirements.
