Role Overview

BakerHicks are searching for talented individuals to join our growing Aviation BIM Team to help deliver projects across all the UK’s major Airports.

As a BIM Manager, you’re expected to have a strong track record in one or, ideally, multiple sectors that BakerHicks operates in. You will have an outstanding career to date in BIM and be able to demonstrate your track record in managing teams, working on multiple projects, and delivering multiple requirements.

You will have experience of managing BIM delivery on large complex projects. Work winning, client care and repeat business is crucial to BakerHicks success, so you’ll need to be able to develop and nurture relationships with our clients (both internal and external).

What will you do

  • Create BIM documentation focused on delivering the BIM goals, launching projects collaboratively and driving forward the BIM agenda
  • Facilitate delivery of federated 3D models, hosted and linked BIM data including COBie.
  • Management and delivery of BIM involvement in projects, including time, cost, quality, resources, and deliverables whilst building client relationships
  • Ensure team compliance with company quality management and best practice within both local and project teams
  • Provide BIM Support for clients to engage, develop and define client requirements
  • Collaborate closely with multi-disciplinary members of the design team to deliver safe, efficient, and buildable solutions
  • Keep up to date with the latest relevant BIM regulations and legislation, as well as investigate and implement new technologies and processes for continual improvement
  • Management of staff in their BIM Information Management role including review and management of BIM models, monitoring performance of common data environments and chairing Project BIM meetings

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience as a BIM Manager or BIM Coordinator
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to eloquently present complex ideas
  • Strong ability to develop enduring relationships with both internal and external stakeholders that deliver long term benefits
  • Outstanding modelling, asset data delivery and BIM coordination experience
  • Possess a working knowledge of ISO19650, PAS1192 and other BIM standards
  • Ability to use Navisworks / Solibri software accurately and efficiently for clash detection, coordination reviews and asset data auditing
  • Successful track record in delivery of asset information at handover.
