The Global Learning Development Budget & Planning Manager leads initiatives that advance the Global Learning Development (GLD) Strategy and Roadmap and drives initiatives/priorities supporting GLD and HR priorities and vision.

This role is accountable for the implementation and realization of GLD’s portfolio strategy and roadmap, leading the effort with a wide range of global stakeholders across the business, GLD, Global Communications, and HR. Specific areas of responsibility include:

Conduct capacity and demand planning with Learning Creation and Learning Ops to appropriately prioritize and sequence Learning engagements.

Manage the planning and coordination of resources across multiple L&D projects.

Triage or escalate requests that require reprioritization of work and reallocation of resources.

Establish, manage, and communicate the GLD portfolio strategy dashboard.

Frame GLD strategy realization trade-off choices.

Budget management, including budget development, forecasting, allocating resources, monitoring performance, and report-outs.

Maintain strong external connections and stay abreast of external learning capability trends to bring them to GLD

Partners internally and externally to plan for GLD upskilling and capability-building.

Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate L&D strategy with Talent Management, Global Diversity & Inclusion, Global Talent Acquisition, and the Corporate Strategy Office.

Required:

Minimum of a bachelor’s degree, or currently in pursuit of degree completion, or equivalent relevant work experience

10 years of equivalent relevant work experience in business operations, learning and development or a related field (8 years of experience with a master’s degree).

Prior work experience managing /overseeing a budget process

Strong business acumen with the ability to obtain, manage and interpret financial data within an accounting/financial management system

Requires leadership, strategic thinking and execution, innovation, business acumen, collaboration, strong verbal and written communication, and leading with influence.

Strong organizational awareness, change management, stakeholder management, strategy development, and project management.

Preferred:

Pharmaceutical industry experience.

SAP/Comet experience

International experience.

U.S. Hybrid Work Model

Effective September 5, 2023, employees in office-based positions in the U.S. will be working a Hybrid work consisting of three total days on-site per week, generally Tuesday, Wednesday and either Monday or Thursday, although the specific days may vary by site or organization, with Friday designated as a remote-working day, unless business critical tasks require an on-site presence.
