About the role

Working within the Healthcare Technology team, this is an opportunity to work across a diverse landscape of healthcare applications and initiatives. You will be at the centre of Boots Healthcare business, delivering the best solutions that put our customer needs first.

The day-to-day activities of the role will include but are not limited to:

Working collaboratively with business and IT stakeholders and using a variety of techniques as suitable to define, capture and prioritise the backlog of requirements and create user stories, including functional, non-functional and IT operational requirements for the project.

Analysing business requests, identifying and evaluating options for improving business systems and processes, ensuring the customers’ needs are always at the forefront of our solutions.

Planning the business analysis work for projects by defining timescales, milestones and dependencies for the work to proceed successfully in an Agile or Waterfall manner as appropriate.

Working in a team of other Business Analysts on large / complex pieces of work, ensuring that the vision, scope and requirements are aligned across the entire project.

Supporting the Lead Business Analyst to engage with business functions to understand their strategy and business plans to formulate product roadmaps.

Supporting test teams and project managers with the evaluation of defects and prioritisation of these defects.

Representing the business and their requirements through the project lifecycle.

Hybrid working – 3 Days in our Nottingham office, 2 days from home

We currently operate a fixed hybrid working approach for Support Office team members with a mix of remote and office-based working. Our set office days are Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with team members able to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

What you’ll need to have

You’ll have demonstrable experience as a Business Analyst – this role is about having the confidence and passion to take personal accountability for projects of varying scale and inspiring the implementation of outstanding solutions.

You’ll have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage, influence, negotiate and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders at all levels in the business

You’ll be detail oriented and strive for a collaborative understanding to deliver the best product for our customers.

You’ll have the ability to handle multiple projects, deadlines, and work independently without supervision.

You’ll always strive to understand and bring others along when your understanding is greater than theirs.

You will have experience of working within both Agile and Waterfall software delivery environments.

It would be great if you also have

You will have experience of working as a Product Owner, Product Manager or Agile Business Analyst.

You’ll have experience of working in a fast paced healthcare, pharmacy or retail environment.

You’ll have a recognised qualification in business analysis.
