Overview of the Role

You’ll be working in an innovative and collaborative Digital and Technology team of Platform Managers, Data Analytics and Engineering teams, a Design Squad and 3rd party Partners.

As a talented Analyst, your curiosity, creativity, and dedication to QA excellence will help us deliver unique digital experiences that inspire activity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the discovery, analysis, and delivery of key projects (Internal platforms and customer-facing systems) across the D&T portfolio.
  • Facilitate business requirements capture with internal and external stakeholders, Document requirements as user stories using consistent INVEST principles.
  • Document and translate acceptance criteria into test-cases, test plans and scripts to ensure to rigorous end-to-end testing across each sprint or release.
  • Map user and system journeys using industry standard notation (UML, BMPN) language
  • Work with stakeholders to prioritise and engineer requirements in accordance with Definition of Ready (DOR) and work with delivery teams to meet Definition of Done (DOR) for each delivery sprint cycle.
  • Work with external partners to plan, execute and deliver functional and non-functional QA.
  • Identify and report defects, bugs, and other issues using agreed ALM tools.
  • Support the Platform and Feature owners with tasks to ensure successful delivery.
  • Support the Project Lead in facilitating SCRUM ceremonies ensuring all required inputs (story points, backlog management, user story and INVEST acceptance criteria) and outputs (Retrospectives) are aligned.
  • Specify change requirements working with technical teams to build and implement changes.
  • Plan and lead change management (UAT, end-user training, SOPs) to ensure optimal adoption.
  • Prepare key documentation including product requirements, functional specifications, UX Wireframes, Test cases, business process flows and customer journeys.
  • Employ a growth and Open mindset and be willing to roll your sleeves up and solve problems.

Required Experience

Essential

  • 2+ years demonstrable experience as a business analyst in web or mobile app projects from end to end from discovery through to delivery.
  • Good working knowledge of Agile including SCRUM and Kanban.
  • Strong experience of planning and facilitating business and customer facing requirements workshops and ideation sessions to define scope, requirements, and deliverables.
  • Experience of managing fast-paced, complex, and concurrent project deliverables.
  • Experience working with and managing deliverables with external digital vendors and outsourcing software development teams.
  • Exceptional communication and robust stakeholder management skills – confident to challenge when necessary and ask the right questions.
  • Working knowledge of Process mapping techniques (BPML, UML) and when appropriate for Use Case, Customer Journeys, gap analysis and process optimisation.

Desired

  • Familiarity with collaborative project tools like Monday.com and Azure DevOps.
  • Technical Experience with Azure Cloud Solutions, D365 and Power Platform.
  • Experience in Web CMS Solutions and API-driven Integrations.
  • Experience delivering consumer apps and B2C SaaS digital solutions.
  • Broad understanding of software development methods and frameworks.
