The Role

AAT is on the hunt for a highly proficient Business Analyst, who will become an integral part of our Project Management Office (PMO).
The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders across the organisation to ensure that projects and business change initiatives receive the necessary support from a business analysis perspective. Your role will play a crucial part in advancing our business analysis capabilities within the PMO and contributing to our vision of becoming a true business partner to the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:
Lead on business analysis for projects
- Consistently follow and use AAT’s Business Analysis framework, approach and templates.
- Ensure that business decisions are driven by business analysis, being mindful of AAT’s business architecture.
- Translate requirements into functional and non-functional; evaluate information gathered from source and distinguish user requests from true needs.
Lead on process improvement
- Challenge current thinking when appropriate and work collaboratively to propose efficiencies in ways of working, business processes and rules.
- Support the business in reviewing and simplifying current business rules and processes.
Support the Project Management Office
- Undertake benefits mapping so that the benefits being derived from projects can be visualised across the programme of work.
- Map out key PMO processes (eg. project start up, reporting etc) which can then be socialised on the PMO’s intranet site.
- Continually review and evolve the Business Analysis framework to make sure it is fit for purpose.

The Person
- Professional Business Analyst qualification such as CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional) or PMI-PBA (PMI Professional in Business Analysis)
- Substantial experience working in a role relating to the practices of business analysis.
- Experience of delivering business analysis for a significant portfolio of projects and programmes.
- Experience of running workshops with key stakeholders.
Knowledge of the following:
- Business Analysis techniques.
- Process improvement approaches, such as Lean.
- Impact analysis models, such as POPIT E Familiarity with project management methodologies, tools, and phases of project lifecycle.
