As a Business Analyst apprentice, you’ll play a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with technology solutions. Your responsibilities involve analysing data, documenting processes, and gathering requirements to support decision-making processes within the organisation. You’ll learn to be proficient in data modelling and interpretation, as you contribute to the development of strategies that enhance business processes and overall efficiency. With a keen eye for detail you’ll collaborate with various stakeholders, including end-users and development teams to ensure that solutions meet business needs. In the dynamic field of business analysis, you will be instrumental in identifying opportunities for process improvement, driving informed decision-making, and contributing to the overall success of business initiatives.
As part of this role you will work alongside customers, business users, suppliers, product owners, software developers, testers and senior leaders. Therefore you’ll need great communication skills. You’ll also need to be excited by investigating and analysing problems and seeking opportunities for improvement.

As a Business Analyst apprentice at Amazon, you’ll gain a vast range of useful experiences and skills. You will work towards the BSc (Hons) Digital and Technology Solutions (Business Analysis pathway).
Key job responsibilities
You will be combining working in your assigned team as a Business Analyst Apprentice whilst continuing your studies to achieve your qualification. As a working student your focus is to complete your studies in your 20% off the job time by learning and developing your skills, knowledge and behaviours to work towards successful graduation. You will be set objectives and goals by your training provider and manager to support your studies.
You will build your skills over a 42-month period, starting in September. These skills will help you develop personally and professionally. Your apprenticeship will be made up of classroom/virtual based training to cover knowledge, on-the-job training at your Amazon base location, online learning as well as mentoring from our experienced team members.
As you progress through your apprenticeship you will become competent at:
– Collaborating with various stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
– Analysing data and processes to identify areas for improvement.
– Assisting in the development and implementation of solutions to enhance business performance.
– Creating detailed reports and documentation to communicate your findings and recommendations.
– Participating in project meetings and contributing to the successful execution of business projects.
– Keeping abreast of industry trends and best practices in business analysis.
In this programme, you will delve into business analysis techniques, honing your skills in analysing business processes, systems, and data to enhance informed decision-making.
A key focus will be on stakeholder engagement, where you’ll learn effective methods to engage with diverse stakeholders, gathering requirements and fostering collaboration. Additionally, you will develop expertise in data interpretation, enabling you to decipher intricate data and extract valuable insights crucial for supporting business strategies.
The programme emphasises the importance of documentation and reporting, imparting skills to create comprehensive documents and reports that effectively communicate business insights and solutions. Furthermore, you will cultivate your problem-solving acumen, learning to identify and address challenges within an organisation.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates should be 18 years or over before the start date and have the right to live and work in England
For the apprenticeship program we prioritize applicants eligible to government funding for their apprenticeship and for this you need to:
– Have lived in the UK or in the European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 years
– Be a resident of the UK for the entire duration of the program
– Not be registered to study on a UK government funded course ending August 2024 or later
– At least 5 GCSEs C grade (grade 4) or above including Maths and English
– 2 A Level passes (A-E) or equivalent in 1 or more STEM subject
Please note, you will be required to evidence your qualifications. If you have gained qualifications outside of the UK you will be required to evidence that they are equivalent.
Note: This Apprenticeship assumes the candidate has some or little knowledge/experience of the occupation, and is NOT suitable for candidates who already have a similar or higher-level qualification in the same or similar subject of the apprenticeship. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your recruitment process will start with your online application. You’ll be asked to upload your CV, answer some questions that will help us to ensure your eligible for the programme and finally you’ll complete a short online assessment.
You will then be invited to complete a game-based assessment, to assess your suitability for an apprenticeship role at Amazon.
To get to know you beyond your CV, the next stage of the process will be our online evaluations. You’ll complete 3 video questions to tell us more about you, your motivations and any transferrable skills you have.
As a last step, we will invite successful candidates to an assessment centre where you’ll get the chance to meet the recruitment team and the hiring teams that align to the programme you have applied for. As part of the assessment centre, you may be expected to take part in a group exercise, a presentation, 1 to 1 interviews and other tasks relating to your chosen programme. After you’ve attended the assessment centre, the recruitment team will be in contact to confirm the outcome of your application.
