A short-term opportunity awaits an experienced IT Business Applications Project & Support Analyst to flourish within an established company in an exciting role. In this position, you will be responsible for working within the Internal IT team to provide support for Microsoft Dynamics NAV (previously referred to as Navision) and to participate in various business projects during a 9-12-month maternity leave contract.

This role enables you to further develop your existing skills, leveraging your career-acquired knowledge. As a Business Applications Project & Support Analyst your responsibilities involve addressing both technical and functional support inquiries for all business applications, including customizations, while keeping users adequately informed about the progress. Ensuring data integrity within IT applications is part of your responsibilities, and you should be capable of comprehending and executing all steps outlined in the business applications continuity plan. Additionally, you will review system bugs and error notifications to identify their root causes.

Established for over 40 years, this world leading company specialise in the design & manufacture of specialist safety systems for use in a wide variety of industries. They have developed an unrivalled reputation within their market and are the global leader within it. With recent investments and big plans, they are now going through a period of rapid expansion. Due to maternity leave they require a Business Applications Project & Support analyst to cover for 9 – 12 months.

This opportunity allows you to expand your experience within the IT sector and work with cutting-edge Microsoft technologies. The role provides flexibility working in a hybrid environment, but you will need to be able to travel to their office in Dartford 3 times a week as a minimum.

The ideal candidate will possess experience in understanding standard business system processes, have 2 + years of experience working in an IT support environment and experience on Microsoft Business Central or similar.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be able to work with the latest IT technologies, work with an established company and take on a short-term opportunity. Although it is maternity cover role you will be eligible for benefits, including bonus too depending on performance.

The person:

• 2+ years of experience in an IT environment working with Microsoft Business Central or similar
• Experienced in working within a customised database, a software project management environment and create system / process documentation
• Open to a short-term role for 9-12months
• Able to commute to Dartford a minimum of 3 days a week

The role:

• Determine opportunities to decrease support inquiries through enhanced training, updates to the knowledge base, or modifications in the ERP system or business processes.
• Promptly address both technical and functional support issues for all Business Applications, including customizations, while consistently keeping users updated on the status.
• Oversee assigned projects from start to finish, encompassing stages such as requirement gathering, scoping, designing, documenting, developing, training, and testing.
• Investigate system bugs and error alerts to pinpoint the underlying cause and develop solutions.
