This is a 12-month fixed term contract for a Business Intelligence Analyst. The role sits within the wider Commercial BI team at Sky Betting and Gaming, which forms a key part of our centralised UK&I Business Intelligence Division.
Reporting into the Senior Analyst, the BI Analyst will be tasked with surfacing and analysing data relating to commercial performance of Sky Bet products and how our customers engage with them. You will work alongside key collaborators to help them successfully deliver our Bet strategy and ensure we are effectively balancing core commercials with rewarding our customers appropriately.
As well as being a key member of the BI Division, you will also be welcomed into the Bet Tribe.
What you`ll do
- You will provide partners with their reports – working with Senior Analysts in the team to gather requirements and optimise the reporting cycles.
- Utilising control and test groups, you will analyse our promotions to understand how they have impacted customer behaviour.
- Working and collaborating with colleagues across local and UK&I BI teams you will identify standard processes in ways of reporting and working.
- You will support the team and Tribe community to help identify key trends, insight, opportunities and performance drivers.
- Good presentation skills: you will surface key findings that are relevant, and utilise support available to tell a clear story in a concise and engaging manner.
- Regularly present your work to groups of business partners, providing a clear narrative and set of actionable recommendations.
This opportunity is suitable to both entry level and more experienced candidates alike. Formal and on-the-job training can/will be provided to bridge any technical gaps.
Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required
- Strong Excel and SQL query writing skills are important, whilst experience in our existing (Business Objects, Power BI, GCP, Big Query) or future (AWS, Looker) tooling would be advantageous. Previous experience in report automation also highly desirable.
- Great teammate with strong communication skills.
- You will be self-motivated, and results driven.
