We want to talk to you!Join our community.A crucial role to ensure execution of the Retail & Business Banking (RBB) division’s commercial ambition, driving productivity excellence and high standards of business performance measurement, modelling and monitoring to support the delivery of business priorities and commercial targets.The role will report to the Head of Business Performance to provide insight and assurance on business performance and ensure that commercial decisions (including pricing proposals) are sound and supported with rigorous analysis.The difference you’ll make:Identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks and controls enabling the achievement of strategic objectives and supporting the Santander UK’s goals within agreed risk appetite constraintsEnsuring the area operates effectively in adherence to the internal policies of the bank and legislative/regulatory guidelines of relevant external authoritiesTaking personal responsibility for doing the right thing, promoting understanding of risk awareness and proactively supports team members to speak up across teams (“I AM Risk”)Proactively identifying, enterprise-wide risks taking action where appropriate in order to remediate or escalate potential issuesProactively support the bank in meeting its business, regulatory and stakeholder obligations in respect of Economic Crime ComplianceWhat you’ll bring:Extensive experience in retail and business banking with a focus in pricing, product management or commercial planningDemonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the firm operates, with ability to anticipate future market trends and use this understanding to inform strategyIt would also be nice for you to have:Ability to critically challenge and analyse business propositions/opportunitiesDemonstrate awareness and understanding of the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the roleDemonstrate ability to drive customer centric strategies and deliver resultsComprehensive understanding of risk, regulatory and compliance frameworksWhat else you need to know:We want our people to thrive at work and home, and we recognise that many people benefit from flexible arrangements.
