About this opportunity:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Business Process Data Analyst to join the Wealth and Investment Chief Administration Office (CAO) in London on a permanent basis.
The CAO team works across all business lines of RBC BD, supporting the front office through three principles; ‘Protect’, ‘Sustain’ and ‘Grow’. The ‘Protect’ agenda is responsible for implementing and embedding effective first line controls and processes within the Advice (investment management and financial planning) business to ensure good outcomes for clients ‘the first time’. The ‘Sustain’ principle ensures the team are the first point of contact between the Front Office and Client Facing Teams. We identify and triage issues limiting business productivity, efficiency, and overall performance with relation to KPI / KRIs. The purpose of ‘Grow’ is to identify process-related opportunities to create additional capacity for Client Facing Teams, enabling them to generate new business. This includes ensuring that high-quality data is available to run our business and meet our client’s needs effectively, delivering change projects to the front office, and training.
The CAO team exercises continuous improvement of business processes used by the client-facing business teams in RBCBD’s offices across Europe.
Reporting to the Head of Process Architecture, the Business Process Data Analyst would be required to map out, maintain and enhance the overall business process architecture.
Responsibilities Include:
- Performing supporting business analysis for process improvement projects.
- Developing and maintaining the core architecture library including process inventory, process flows, scope documents, internal control documents and procedures.
- Working with key stakeholders/digital experts to identify and evaluate opportunities for change.
- Contribution to the ongoing development of CFT training strategy.
- Support the Head of Process Architecture with roadshows and office visits.
- Engagement with colleagues supporting CFT operational processes across the Wealth and Investment Channels i.e. Direct Client services, Financial Planning and Intermediary channel.
Personal Skills & Experience:
- Self-starting Individual with at least 5 years’ experience in either process improvement or business analysis.
- Experience of working in Financial Services would be helpful, specifically in implementation projects in Wealth Management or Client Facing teams.
- Ability to engage at both business SME level and also senior management level.
- Able to work to tight timeframes and without supervision, once briefed.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable dealing with stakeholders at all levels.
- Enthusiastic, curious and committed to quality and detail.
- Strong communication skills – formal, informal, written and oral.
- Adaptable to change.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Intermediate level of IT proficiency desirable.
- Client focused.
- Positive, can-do attitude.
