Job title: CAER Community Partnership Co-ordinator

Job description: We are looking for an enthusiastic and committed community partnership co-ordinator with excellent partnership building, organisation, and communication skills. You should have experience of working with communities and some knowledge of community engagement, co-production models and working with volunteers. Experience of university/community partnership building (or similar transferable experience) would also be valuable.

Working in close collaboration with a CAER Centre development officer based at our Community Partner’s Action in Caerau and Ely (ACE) you will nurture and develop partnerships and volunteering working to support co-creation and co-research initiatives and grant capture and to establish the CAER Centre as a learning hub in the communities of Caerau and Ely. You will lead and co-ordinate the engagement between these communities and Cardiff University, providing regular feedback to community and University partners on the progress of projects, and advising on effective models of engaged research and community co-production. Working in partnership with community members and volunteers, you will develop and manage a programme of community-university activities.

The successful candidate will have experience of effective partnership building, community engagement and working co-productively in community contexts. You should be able to effectively manage workloads and evidence the ability to solve expansive problems using initiative and creativity. You should have excellent interpersonal skills and show evidence of being an effective communicator to a wide range of partners and participants. You should be able to work flexible hours with some evening and weekend working. Welsh language skills are desirable though not essential.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week) for a three-year fixed-term period.

Salary: £32,332 – £34,980 per annum (Grade 5)
