Job description: You will be joining an amazing friendly Team within CardiologyDiagnostics. Our Department covers 3 Hospitals, and whilst your base hospital will be William Harvey Hospital in Ashford,you’ll also be working alongside our colleagues at the QueenElizabeth Queen Mother and Kent and Canterbury Hospital.Our Mission is to continually provide excellent customer serviceand care to all of our patients who attend for DiagnosticInvestigations, and to be that friendly face that greats theminto the department and to be understanding of their needs. Ifthis sounds like you then we would love to hear from you.Main duties of the jobo To appoint outpatients from GP for appropriate investigations in order of clinical need and withinwaiting time targets. Maintain database and generate a letter to patient.o To appoint outpatients from internal referrals for appropriate investigations in order of clinical need and within the Target wait times. Maintain database and generate a letter to patient. ? o Maintain a waiting list of patients waiting for investigations, who can’t be appointed straight away.o Appoint extra clinics to help bring the waiting times down to be acceptable level.o Upon discharge, to validate all written and electronic tracking steps.o To alert the departmentco-ordinator of any missing data or poor-quality issues, which you feel require following up.o Ensure that all speciality referrals are followed up correctly and urgent referral are given priority.o Photocopying as required.o Promptly answering telephone enquiries and if necessary transferring calls to an appropriatemember of staff.o Use Allscripts Patient Administration System (PAS) and Sunrise to check and update patient details as required.
